LENNON KEEPS QUIET

The Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that he does not want to make any comments about the possibility of bringing Rangers back to the Scottish Premier league. The Celtic manager also criticised the way his strikers performed in the first pre-season match of the campaign.

He has also revealed that he is hoping that the players understand what he is looking for in the third pre-season match. Celtic recently failed to win the second consecutive match in pre-season tour of Germany. The 1-0 defeat by Stuttgart Kickers has left Celtic with no wins in the first two matches of the pre-season.

Even though the pre-season form counts little when it comes to the actual season, Celtic manager Neil Lennon is clearly focusing on improving the confidence within the team ahead of the start of the new season. Due to the fact that Rangers will not be in the division after being relegated, Celtic are expected to win the title with many games to spare stop however, Neil Lennon has dismissed such theories by saying that the league will be competitive as ever. However, he refused to be drawn into speculation over whether Rangers should be returned back to the Scottish Premier league.

“I’m not going to get angry with anyone but I expect more of the strikers. There’s rustiness, and I expect that, but we didn’t work their keeper enough. We’ve been in touch with Sebastian’s representatives but that’s as far as it’s gone. Aidan interests us but nothing’s near to happening there. I’m going with what I’ve got at the moment,” said the Celtic manager Neil Lennon after the 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Stuttgart Kickers. Celtic will be playing in the third pre-season match against Aalen, while they will be taking on Ajax during the weekend.
