CELTIC ASSERT DOMINANCE
Celtic once again reasserted their dominance at the top of the Scottish Premier league table by winning against Hearts 4-0.
The morale boosting victory gave Celtic the opportunity to maintain the gap at the top of the table to four points. This is the same Celtic team that lost to Hearts at Tynecastle in October.
Neil Lennon's men have been on an extraordinary run over the last few months, which would pose a lot of questions for Rangers, who still remain four points behind Celtic at the moment. Given that Celtic have very few worries to contend with at the moment, the run does not appear to come to an end at the moment.
Brown opened the scoring in the 3rd minute. It gives Celtic the decisive advantage in the match and they soon extended their lead through a goal from Wanyama in the 20th minute. Matches between the two clubs are rarely quiet, and this match was once again no exception to this fact.
However, the two early goals for Celtic enabled the visitors to get a foothold on the match. Soon, they found themselves with the unassailable lead of being three goals in a football match within the first half itself after Ledley scored the 31st minute. Hooper rounded up the scoring in the 60th minute to give Celtic a huge victory, backing up the firm-favourites tag Celtic have gained on the best Scottish Premier League betting websites.
"I thought we were devastating. We were powerful, quick on the counter attack. The intensity and quality of our play was exceptional. I feel a bit for Hearts because they lost a couple of quality players before the game but they caught us on a good night," said Neil Lennon.
Aside from the controversial Brown's goal in the third minute, most of the goals scored by Celtic came as a result of exciting attacking play.
