Scottish Premier League giants Celtic Football Club are getting very close to agreeing a deal with Eddie Howe to become their next manager for next season. The club were linked with a couple of managers who would take over at the helm after they fired their former manager in the wake of Rangers clinching the league title by a huge point margin.

They were said to be interested in bringing back Brendan Rodgers who is currently at Leicester City in the Premier League but he was said to be off the market and Celtic had to start looking elsewhere in a bid to continue their search for a befitting manager that they want to guide the club to major titles. Rogers is a former Celtic manager and also won the league title during his time at the club before leaving them some months ago to replace Claudio Ranieri as the new manager at Leicester City following the Italian manager's sacking.

They are said to be currently close to announcing Eddie Howe as their new manager after already reportedly agreeing a deal with the former Premier League manager. Howe was the manager of Bournemouth and had a decent spell with the Cherries during his time at the club. However, he could not stop them from suffering relegation last season and he decided to leave the club at the end of the previous campaign.

Celtic have now identified him as the manager that is capable of returning them to the top of Scottish football and have expressed their faith in him to guide them to several titles starting from next season.

He may not have been confirmed as a Celtic manager yet but he has already started making a list of players he wants to sign for the club before his official announcement.
