Keane Rues Celtic Form
Robbie Keane is making no excuses about Celtic’s shock defeat at the hands of Ross County on Saturday which killed off any hopes of picking up silverware in what has be a tumultuous season for the Parkhead side. The on-loan striker, like the rest of his team-mates, failed to make an impact on the game and allowed County to bag two goals and send the Glasgow giants out of the Scottish Cup.
Keane, the SPL Player of the Month for March, echoed the sentiments of interim-manager Neil Lennon, who fiercely criticised his players following the match, and maintained that no player can have any complaints if they find themselves out of the squad for Tuesday’s match against Motherwell.
"It's simple. At the moment, we are not good enough,” said the Irishman. “If the team isn't good enough, what do you do? You go out and buy other players that are good enough.
"I can only presume that is what Neil is on about. Neil was critical and rightly so.
