Celtic Star Players at Different Games this September
As the international program schedule comes to a close Celtic stars had a busy day on Tuesday, 12th September 2023. Break for the season arrived, especially in time for those who had just tasted victory at a rival’s home ground. Indeed, when Tuesday matches arrived many were still out, recovering from injuries. Hence, most would have been happy if the respite came by, allowing the team to relax for a few weeks.
However, the international players were jetted off to play in their respective countries. It includes players such as Callum McGregor, Hyeongyu Oh, and Kyogo Furuhashi among others. These three players were successful at their respective games this Tuesday.
Oh was chosen to be a substitute for South Korea who finally won over Saudi Arabia in the match that was held at St James Park. Yang, on the other hand, was on the bench in the match where he made his international debut. Kyogo was part of Japan’s team when they were playing opposite several European teams. They obtained a sensational win in the match against Germany. They were also able to defeat Turkey with a score of 4-2. In these matches, Kyogo was part of the Japan team though he could not score for them.
On the other hand, Callum McGregor, the Celtic captain was part of the match that took place between Scotland and England. Scotland defeated England in that game with a score of 3-1. The game took place at Hampden Park.
The real star of this match was Jude Bellingham. He gained the man of the match accolade for England. The 20-year-old defended the performance of the Scotland team, including that of Callum McGregor. The latter played 89 minutes in the game, showcasing a steady performance. However, the whole team was unable to help him and they were down with a score of 2-0 before the break came up.
