Celtic keen on bringingShon Weissman as Odsonne Edouard replacement
Celtic will be looking forward to signing Wolfsberger AC player Shon Weissman if Odsonne Edouard decides to leave the Scottish club. If he decides to leave the club then it will be a piece of good news for Arsenal and Tottenham as they are looking forward to signing him.
Weissmanhas been playing exceptionally well for the club and he has scored in 29 occasions for 30 appearances. He has also played in Israel national team for four times. He has scored against both Roma and Mönchengladbach this season, and he was signed to Wolfsberger for a two-year contract.
Celtic wants to keep Odsonne Edouard but he has been highly linked with a move to Premier League. He had been a great contributor for the Scottish club in this season and they want to be prepared for a replacement if he decides to leave.
Edouard was signed to Celtic on June 2018 for a four-year contract and the transfer fee was said to be the highest amount ever paid by the club, and it wasn’t disclosed by the club. In the current season before the suspension of football activity, he has scored 27 goals and assisted 19 ones with 46 appearances for Celtic.
As per the reports, Arsenal is one of the clubs that havea keen interest in the player. Tottenham is another club who has claimed to be watching him over the 2019–2020 season. With Celtic's decision to pursue Weissman, both the Premier League clubs will be glad to know Celtic is willing to sell him.
Edouard is a good player and everyone will be expecting Celtic to keep him with the club. But when looking at Weissman he is a good replacement he has scored 29 goals from 30 appearances and he has also scored against big clubs like Roma. It suggests that he can be a quite good replacement of Edouard and can be a contributor to the club.
