CELTIC FANS REACT TO LATEST INJURY NEWS

A large number of Celtic fans have expressed how much excitement they have currently after getting to know about the latest injury update of one of their players ahead of their important fixture at the weekend. Celtic will travel to Ibrox on Sunday to take on Rangers in the Old Firm derby and they will be hoping that they can get one over their bitter rivals by the time the final whistle is blown.

CELTIC TARGET ON PALACE SHORTLIST

Ex-Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is said to be one of the three names on the managerial shortlist at Crystal Palace. According to the publication from the stables of the Football Insider, Howe is on the three-man list alongside Burnley manager Sean Dyche and ex-Chelsea player and manager Frank Lampard.
Howe had previously been linked with the manager's job at Scottish Premiership giants Celtic and the former Cherries boss is considered the favourite for the job.

Rangers legend Stuart McCall has revealed that the only number valid at Rangers is 55 as the Scottish Premiership leaders close in on league title number 55 this season at the expense of Old Firm rivals Celtic. Stuart McCall talked about Rangers, Celtic and the Scottish Premiership on Sky Sports at the weekend. Stuart McCall reiterated how strong Rangers have been at home this season under manager Steven Gerrard, who's gradually attaining legendary status at the club. Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has been able to transform the fortunes of Rangers since his appointment some seasons ago.

CELTIC EYEING ASTON VILLA STARLET

Scottish champions Celtic are reportedly keeping tabs on Aston Villa youngster Tyreik Wright. The winger has been impressive for English League Two team Walsallsince joining them last month. Apart from Celtic, Merseyside giants Everton are also monitoring his development at Aston Villa. Tyreik Wright, 19, is a left-footed winger with a lot of pace to burn. The interest of Celtic and Everton in his services was confirmed by the Daily Mail.He could leave Aston Villa on a free transfer as his contract ends in a few months’ time. Aston Villa would certainly want to give him a new contract to prevent the winger from walking away from the club for free.


Tyreik Wright was signed by Aston Villa from Irish club Lakewood and he has progressed well in the club's academy. He was loaned out to Walsall in January and he has started well in what's his first taste of senior team football. The Aston Villa loanee has set up goal in each of his first two appearances for Walsall and his quality has drawn praise from club manager Darrel Clarke.

SACKED LAMPARD LINKED WITH CHELSEA JOB

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has been linked with the managerial job at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic since he lost his job as the Blues manager. Frank Lampard was the Chelsea manager for 18 months before club owner Roman Abramovich pulled the plug on his managerial reign at the club despite his good relationship with Lampard.


Frank Lampard is a legend at the club after a distinguished playing career at Stamford Bridge. He still holds the record for the most goals scored in a Blues shirt. Frank Lampard was unable to replicate his high playing level at Chelsea when he became their manager.

CELTIC MANAGER NEIL LENNON AND 13 FIRST-TEAM PLAYERS FORCED TO SELF-ISOLATE

Neil Lennon, the manager of Celtic Football Club, his assistant, as well as 13 players of his first team have all been forced to go into self-isolation following their move to make a controversial trip to Dubai recently. The entire team tested positive for the coronavirus upon their return from the Dubai trip and that is the reason they have been made to go into self-isolation, following the strict guidelines and protocols.


Just two days before Scotland went into lockdown due to the second wave of the virus, Lennon took his squad for a trip to Dubai and on Friday, it was reported that the United Arab Emirates carried out some tests of which 5,055 New cases were reported. The announced figure was almost double of what had been reported in Scotland some days before.

Celtic have been in good form against their opponents Dundee United after winning the last six games since the defeat while Ronny Delia was in charge of the team. Dundee United beat Celtic 2-1 in December 2014 for their last victory against the Scottish champions.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is under serious pressure to produce results for the Scottish champions as the club fans grow tired of their team's poor run both at home and abroad. The Scottish football giants have failed to win any of their last five games in all and this run has heaped misery on Neil Lennon who was in charge when Celtic won the league title last season ahead of Rangers. He is in his second spell as a Celtic manager after his four-year stay at the club in his first spell.


Neil Lennon was at the club from 2010 to 2014. Neil Lennon was appointed as the Celtic manager for the second time in 2019 as a replacement for Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers who walked out on the club to join the Foxes midway through the 2018/19 campaign. He had previously been a player at the club long before his managerial career started. Neil Lennon spent seven years as a Celtic player between 2000 and 2007.
