Fridjonsson to join Celtic from January

Holmbert Fridjonsson, the Iceland striker, has said Neil Lennon that he would be set to be pitched in action when he finished his move to Celtic next year. But the twenty year old footballer stated that he confronts a tough fight to get in the first team of the Scottish champions.

Holmbert Fridjonsson had been with Fram football club in Iceland before their season finished. On Wednesday, he signed a pre-contract deal with Celtic. He would be a part of the Hoops on a 4 year contract when the transfer season starts on 1st January. But he would join the training sessions with his new club from the start of December.

According to reports, Holmbert Fridjonsson told that he would get to know the boys better and he would take part in practice sessions with them and see how things works. He could be ready. He just has to work hard. He would not go to walk in the team, which is for sure.

Speaking about what Celtic rooters could expect from him, he told that he would try to score goals and he might do this for Celtic fans. He is delighted and this is just the biggest step for him. The physical side would be more here; therefore, he just needs to get in the team and hopefully he could adapt well.

He added that he could play up alone; he could hold up the ball and link footballers to the game. He has a great technique. He has got a great left foot and he is good in the air.
