Celtic never able to take Lead in Europa League
Celtic had to come back from the scoreboard on two instances during their Europa League match against Inter Milan which was played on February 19. The Scottish side was motivated to not only come from behind but also eager on taking the lead which unfortunately never happened, but nonetheless Celtic still demonstrated what they had to offer as they forced Inter Milan on having to settle with a 3-3 draw.
Before the match had initiated, Ronny Deila had a few words to say concerning their Europa League clash with the Italian side and the manager of Celtic had nothing but praise towards their European opponents.
"Just look at the squad Inter have. It's totally different to what we have.Inter is a big club in the history of European football. Celtic has been big as well but it's a different league and a different level they play at normally. We have everything to win. We go in with lots of confidence. If we get a good result, we'll put a lot of pressure for them when we play them away from home." Celtic’s Ronny Deila said.
Even with all of the praise that Ronny Deila said to the team of Inter Milan, Deila still remains optimistic that his team that progress into the last 16 stages of the Europa League.
Celtic has managed to win the Scottish League Championship on 45 occasions and the UEFA Champions League on one instance in 1967 however, the UEFA Europa League is one of the titles that the Scottish side has never managed to lift and they are eager on making it happen this time around with Ronny Deila leading the way for the team but Celtic will have to score at least one goal in their 2nd leg Europa League match against Inter Milan in San Siro.
